Instructional Technology is intended to assist our educators in achieving the district mission to challenge all students and assure that they acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to become productive and responsible Twenty-First Century citizens.

Integration of technology at the point of instruction is intended to:

  • Create a student centered learning environment where the instructional methods fully engage the students in their learning and the teachers become the facilitators.
  • Foster higher level thinking by providing students the opportunity to access and analyze information, problem solve both individually and collectively as well as communicate their ideas utilizing varied methods.
  • Develop and provide opportunities to demonstrate digital citizenship in all curricular areas
  • Develop 21st century skills for all students and staff to insure every graduate is career and college ready

District initiatives are focused on integration of 21st Century Skills and National Education Technology Standards (NETS) as defined by International Society of Technology Education (ISTE).
